Grandma's Birthday - and CAKE!

Grandma's Birthday!! It was  wonderful getting to have her for her birthday!! We loved it - especially Johnathon!! He loves cake - I could possibly even go so far to say that he adores it! He was kissing the cake box before we even opened it! I am so glad that we got to have you for your special day!! Thank you for sharing it with us! We love you very very much!

Grandmas are FUN!

We were blessed to have Grandma come up for the weekend - and best of all it was her birthday weekend!! The kids loved getting to play with her and we loved getting the chance to talk!! Thank you so much for coming! We love you!

Slide

For living in a small town, there are some amazing parks that surround us! Here we are at another park - our favorite hangout spots! This was Evelyn's first slide - and Johnathon's first BIG slide! Spring Break was fantastic!

Family

It was wonderful getting to see my family in OKC. I must brag about them because of how much they have blessed me - all of them. 

I wish everyone could me my grandma. She is precious beyond words. I can remember driving from college just to lay my head in her lap and listen to her tell me everything will be ok. Talking to her - as a child and grown woman - has always been a highlight for me. She is wise, humble, gentle and has a sense of humor. Her house is the most calming place I have found so far - have you ever walked into a place and instantly felt everything slow down and the weight just fall off your shoulders - that's my grandmas. Maybe it's because life is so simple there and I know what unconditional love surrounds her - maybe it's the memories - whatever it is, I love it and cherish the times I get to visit. 

Beginnings

These are some random pics from the beginning of our spring break! We spent a day at home before we went to visit my family in OKC - the middle pic is from the zoo there- they have mold a romas!! I grew up making these and it was so surreal seeing my son get excited about putting in his $2.00 (it was .75 back in my day) to create a wax lion! Also - Evelyn took her first step two days ago - just trying to keep up with Bubba!:)

Toddler Bed! Can you believe it?!

Johnathon graduated to a toddler bed - well we have one of those handy cribs that transform to three different beds and I'm so thankful because I don't think he would have made the transition if not - although I can't wait to get him in a really cool bed;)! He was estatic! I wish I had video, but these pics speak volumes! Enjoy our little man's incredible joy - we sure do!

Basking in the SUN

We have had one of the beautiful days so far of the spring yet to come. I love our park! Evelyn is now swinging, and Johnathon couldn't be happier with having a new play partner! He was actually trying to wrestle with her last night - and she was cracking up! I am so excited to see their friendship grow! So, here we are basking in the life God has given us and the Son he has chosen to share.
