There is No Place Like HOME

When we come home from a typical day at our local zoo and park in the back seat of our SUV I start hearing the phrase "NO HOME" chanted over and over again from our son who does not want to be home, but back out in the sun/fun. I give this background information so that you can truly share in the immense joy I had when I awoke to our son on Saturday morning at 8 am (we had put him in his bed at 3:30 am fully asleep from the endurance run home from our trip- and really expecting him to sleep in) running down the hall screaming in joy Mommy HOME Mommy HOME!! I caught him in the hall only to be dragged quickly to him room in which he ran around hugging every stuffed animal and object he had. I fell in love with him all over again! To my relief and utter joy we have been able to provide our child with a home he has fallen in love with as much as we have. Going from "No Home to HOME Mommy!" has been one of the most profound blessings from our vacation. We are HOME!!

Coming Home

Coming home was great! We stopped by a couple of parks - thanks to our GPS - and the kids zoned out to a few movies. The endurance ride home was definitely worth it 12 hrs later - we were home!!:)

SEAWORLD!! Day 1

My favorite part of this trip was watching the joy in and on my kids!! The dolphin show was fabulous - Johnathon took small pauses of clapping - other than that they were cheered on continually. Evelyn laughed and they both - despite the heat - did not wimper or complain but just enjoyed! How awesome to be kids - now wonder God tells us to be childlike.

Downtown

Downtown San Antonio offers such amazing views and pieces of history. We had the opportunity to visit the Alamo, go on the river walk, visit the tower of the Americas and just hang out relaxing with our kids.

Driving, Standing, Walking, Sitting

Our children are changing so fast! Johnathon loved sitting in Daddy's seat while going to the restroom at the beach; Evelyn is standing and working on walking and they both loved sitting in the stroller when they just wiped out from the days activities!:) Lots of movement, many amazing memories.

Here are some more pics to enjoy!:)

First Trip to the Beach

Last week was our first official family vacation. We spent eight days all over Texas, visiting friends, Sea World, the beach and every park between our house and the coast to entertain the kids along the way. This is the first post of many to catch everyone up on the fun. The beach was of course a highlight for our little man and Evelyn could not of been more beautiful by the sand. What a treasure the Lord has given us in our children. We are so blessed for the opportunities we have as a family and the love that carries us through every adventure we share.
